A bit thin for slipper socks. Tried them on and they were okay, but haven't actually use them to know how they'll fare after washing. None the less they are well made, cute and don't feel/look cheap. Soft and cozy, I think they'd make a nice little gift. The price may be somewhat steep for something with such a short life expectancy.
